June 11 is our last day of school and we are going to have an Award Ceremony @ 11am.
Parents are welcome to come.
Please note that not everyone will get an award on Graduation evening, due to time restrains. That's why we're having the Award Ceremony on Friday, where all students will receive some award.

Poem
It's Grandparents' Day and we're here to say,
"We love our Grandparents in a major way."
So sit right down and take a seat,
And we'll put on a show that can't be beat!
Some Grandparents are skinny. Some eat a lot.
Some are funny. Some are not.
Some short, some tall, some big, some small.
It doesn't matter. We love them all.

JKB Language Arts
We have been working on our Journals everyday.
It's very exciting to see the progress of your child.
Little by little they put the letters together and try to make the sound of the word. Most of the time (at this stage) they can't spell the word exactly, but they are certainly on the right track when they sound out letter by letter.
Enjoy some of their work:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Motherhood is a tough 24 hour job. There is no pay, and no day off. Sometimes motherhood is unappreciated, but yet resignation is impossible. Even though motherhood is a full time job, a mother's work is never done. A mother is a woman who was created by God to bring love, joy, happiness and caring into his world.
Happy Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day.
Uniform
We still have 5 more weeks of school.
Please make sure your child comes in proper St. Jude's uniform.
Thank you,

FYI
Dear Parents,
Please do not be alarmed if your child went home on Monday talking about head lice.
We had an isolated case in our school and it has been treated already.
As we are studying bugs for science I thought this incident was a very good opportunity to lecture to the students.

The students have learned that sharing hats, hairbrush or hair ornaments it is not a good idea.
